Friday Fix: Episode 231
Setting a New Year's resolution has become discouraged by many social media feeds. And skipping one isn't a bad idea.
By mid-January, most people consider their resolutions failed. Their plans to exercise, wake up earlier, or save money have already fallen through.
As a therapist, I've worked with many people ready to declare the entire year a failure after abandoning their resolution. But that's not necessary.
If your resolution isn't going as you'd hoped, you can still take steps to make this year amazing.
Sometimes, it starts with changing how you phrase your resolution. Simple shifts in goal-setting can set you up for success.
On this episode of The Verywell Mind Podcast, I share how to reword a resolution into an attainable goal, what to do if your resolution has faltered, and how to have a great year without a resolution at all.
