Seeking support for my mental health struggles, I opted for LifeStance Health's online therapy services, hoping to address my anxiety, insecurities, and limiting behaviors. Unfortunately, my experience left me disillusioned, falling short of my expectations.
While LifeStance boasts a vast network of providers, the options for telehealth services were limited. The provider directory lacked crucial details, such as profile photos and comprehensive bios, raising concerns about user experience.
Scheduling an appointment was straightforward, but filtering by therapist availability proved unnecessarily complicated. Moreover, there was no information about session duration, and the cost of each session was not disclosed upfront, leaving me uncertain about the financial implications.
My initial therapy session was disheartening. The therapist conducted a robotic intake assessment, displaying minimal genuine interest in understanding my personal history. This encounter left me feeling unseen and doubtful of establishing a meaningful connection.
Opting for a second therapist, our first session was troubled by technical difficulties. Despite my efforts to resolve the issue, my therapist offered minimal guidance, shifting the responsibility to me. This lack of support and troubleshooting skills was deeply unsettling.
During our actual therapy session, I was disappointed by the therapist's limiting beliefs about their capabilities and the absence of constructive guidance or a healthy push to challenge me.

LifeStance Health provides the advertised services, but my experience was tainted by unclear pricing, unsatisfactory therapist experiences, and data privacy concerns. Consequently, I discontinued therapy with LifeStance and will explore other therapy companies that prioritize transparency and personalization.

These survey results suggest that many individuals have positive experiences with LifeStance, but my personal experience was less favorable.
I believe that finding the right therapist and therapy modality is a personal journey. It's essential to research different options and find a therapist who aligns with your needs, values, and treatment goals.
